Grant money is available to residents in Suffolk County who are looking to upgrade their septic system to an innovative and alternative (I/A) system.

Here’s what you need to know:

1) Grant amount available up to $20,000

2) Additional $5000 available for low to moderate income households

3) Grants are issued based on priority areas and failing systems

4) Time to obtain a grant – it varies

5) Do not install a system UNTIL your application has been approved
