SYSTEM DESIGN

How it Works

All septic systems are required to be designed by either a licensed NYS architect or professional engineer for an approval by the Suffolk County Health Department.

Since the beginning of the Suffolk County initiative, Peter Podlas Architect, P.C. has been designing and engineering septic systems for customers across Suffolk County, NY.

Design Process

We will visit your site to investigate your surroundings and collect all necessary required site information. In addition, we will discuss various I/A systems that are available to you and select which one best suits your needs.

Our firm will then design your new I/A system according to the Suffolk County Health Department Standards and submit all paperwork for your permit.

Upon receipt of the permit, the supplier will install your system to Suffolk County code specifications. Halfway through the installation, we visit the job site to witness the initial startup that is performed.

After the installation is complete, your final site plan will be submitted to close out your application enabling your final approval to take place.
